Today we went to @rspbminsmere and made the most of the sun coming out! Saw quite a few of the birds that I'll be teaching year 8 how to draw in our upcoming Norfolk coat project too. The last time I went was around 24 years ago when I made a hanging fat ball at a workshop as a child, still distinctly remember it! We did all the walks and luckily decided to get lunch in the cafe before setting off on the final walk as we got lost despite following the signposts because of tree felling which resulted in a 3 mile detour and ending up right back where we started!! 🤦🏼♀️ We made it back to the gift shop just as the rain started 🌧️ I got a new bird feeder that is 'pigeon-proof' and hopefully magpie-proof as well!
OK, there are prettier towns than #Guateque for sure, but it has its own rough-and-ready charm. Although, the hotel receptionist appears to have a different take on it. "There's a nice little town a 20-minute bus journey away. You could go there for the afternoon and come back here to sleep." "Come on Monica I'm only after arriving! At least let me check out Guateque and its environs first."
And I'm glad I did! #Boyacá#Colombia#pueblos#campo#countryside#walks#nature#travel
Half term weather is always horrible! But we’ve made the most of it! A walk around Wells, chippies on the sea front and the 2p machines to get rid of our mountains of change we were hoarding! #wellsnextthesea#walks#beach#chippies#2pmachines
