Guys, 6 years ago TODAY I had to have emergency surgery on my kidney AND have a stent put in for 2 weeks (OF ABSOLUTE HELL). Today I get to play with an ADORABLE 2 month old and spend time with my family. Right now I'm listening to the Office Ladies podcast and NOT in a hospital bed, but my comfy couch by a BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree and a cozy fire. Honestly, I am so grateful, and I'm just SO darn excited about Christmas!!! 😁 Love you all! #goodnight#December12th

🥊 Would I have still boxed at the level I did knowing it would batter my body? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY!!! Boxing gave me so much back albeit the support at the time was extremely skeletal and I didn’t make a living. But, it was ALL worth it. ❤️ BOXING AND THE UNBEATABLE POSITIVE EFFECTS.

Trials TEACH & strengthen us - they give us a backbone & help us grow into WHO we are supposed to become. Before you choose to feel bad for someone else"s trials, ask yourself if those trials might not be for their own progress & GAIN. We dont always know which trials are GIVEN to us & which are just natural consequences of our own CHOICES, but what we DO know is that we will GROW & become STRONGER from them if we choose to do so. This can be applied to PARENTING as well, are we always wanting to step in & "save" our kids - take their trials & growth from them? Nie war mehr Anfang als jetzt! 🖤
Gestern habe ich mit der Therapie angefangen und direkt hat das Cortison nach ein paar Stunden seine Wirkung gezeigt. Ich hatte gestern deutlich weniger Schmerzen, dafür aber auch totale innere Unruhe, war schnell gereizt und schlaflos. Man darf halt auch einfach nicht vergessen, dass Cortison ein Stresshormon ist, welches dem Körper mit einem Schlag in hoher Dosis zugeführt wird. Und so hab ich mich auch gefühlt! 😅 Dennoch habe ich die Schlaflosigkeit genutzt und fast die ganze Nacht Bewerbungen geschrieben, denn ich starte zuversichtlich in das Jahr 2020! 🍀 Ich bin ja schon länger in meinem Job nicht mehr ganz so zufrieden, war aber dadurch, dass es mir fast das ganze Jahr über schlecht ging, mit Bewerbungen eher zurückhaltend. Doch ich hoffe stark, dass jetzt durch die Therapie alles wieder besser wird und es somit wieder vorwärts geht! 🍀🙏🏼
Und es war auch tatsächlich eine Bewerbung dabei, die mit dem, was ich hier mache, sehr eng in Verbindung steht... 😍

As a feminist, raised BY a feminist, I've always thought myself to be strong. Even when I'm not...even when I'm down, or blue, or ridiculously ill...I look in the mirror and say "You can do this. You're a Warrior. "
And every year, I think I get a little bit stronger. I owe this, entirely, to the humans that I'm #lucky enough to know.
One of these beautiful humans is @sarahglads . She's brilliant in every aspect of her life-from her family to her career, her friendships to her integrity-she always finds a way to grind and maintain balance. And she never stops inspiring me.

If you want to improve yourself, you need to be able to face your fears, acknowledge your weaknesses, and be willing to forgive yourself.
The only way to move on from a bad situation is to accept, forgive, and move forward, and these same steps apply to many other aspects of your life. .
We are all our own strongest critic. We tend to hold grudges over our own heads, tell ourselves things in our minds that tear down our confidence and emotions, and this is just no way to live!
The only way you can start taking steps toward becoming the person you'd like yourself to be is to learn to love who you are, acknowledge how far you've come, and to learn to forgive and be kinder to yourself. .
