I promise myself to be dedicated to my body.
To keep a healthy and strong physique.
From the Great Words Of Pauline Nordin:
. "A well built physique is a status symbol. It reflects you worked hard for it. No money can buy it. You cannot inherit it. You cannot steal it. You cannot borrow it. You cannot hold on to it without constant work. It shows dedication. It shows discipline. It shows self respect. It shows dignity. It shows patience. Work ethic. Passion."

Diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer last year at the age of 37, David can now excitedly report that after nine treatments of chemo, "those damn tumors are shrinking!" Now, just over halfway through treatment, David is the first to admit that he has rough days, but tries his hardest to stay positive through it all.
He says, "I know the days ahead are going to be filled with scary doctor visits and quick audibles to the bathroom," but David continues to have a deep appreciation for all the help he's received from so many places. David wants nothing more than to add a puppy to his family. He hopes that through LifeList, he can find his new furry companion.
You can read David's story and view his LifeList via the link in our bio.
Welcome, David! Our community is sending love and wishing you well as you continue to fight!
@musclecontest This was when I was in the hospital before the competition told myself no matter what I was going to get top 5 or better couple of months later I grace the stage and got 4 place . I didn’t complain I just worked 💪🏽 .
Heaven gained a warrior.
Rest in peace to my great grandfather, Andres. A WWII veteran who was blessed to be 100 years old, and was blessed to see his great grandchildren and even better, his great GREAT granddaughter. Although he did not see any combat during his time, he still served in the army during WWII. over the last year+ I've come to establish my own theology and philosophy in life. One of them is simple. One must find a sense of pride in the passing of a family member. For now they rest with the rest of our ancestors with anticipation as to what we shall accomplish next. Their they sit, as they watch us and protect us and give us strength. I am your blood, I carry your blood, and I PROMISE that I will make you all so dam proud. To live as honorable and as truthful and as motivated than ever. It is my HONOR to have called you family and it will be my HONOR to carry our legacy to higher levels for my children to come, and their children after them. I'll never forget the first thing you told me "how is he so big???" Lol I enjoyed our small time together. Now you rest, I'll carry the name. For those of you who have reached out to me, my sincere apologies but I have been off of all social media platforms for the past month or so and will continue to do so until march. I just wanted to take this time to let the world know, of the passing of a warrior from the greatest generation, my great grandfather.
Requiescat in pace🤘

114. It’s been exactly one hundred and fourteen days since I was thrown my biggest curve ball of life yet. In these past 114 days I have trained and worked on myself like never before. Train for what you may ask? For the marathon of my life. I want to be and I have to be, the healthiest version of myself possible, I have three littles that expect their mama to be here for every baseball game, every dance recital (hopefully 😉) every first day of school, every graduation, every wedding, the birth of grandbabies one day. I want to be here for it all. I have never “trained” for anything in my life but I’m most definitely training for this. I will not stop until I am physically and cognitively myself again. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
I want to share this small victory I had today. 114 days ago I could not walk and multiple parts of my body was paralyzed. I had to relearn how to take steps. Walk. For awhile with each step, my brain had to communicate to my leg and foot to step. It was far from normal feeling and it was mentally exhausting. Eventually, walking began to feel normal again. So, I wanted to tackle jogging. While still in the rehab facility we worked on this, teaching my feet to lift in a running motion again. It started with a few steps, then turned into I could jog one hallway, by the time I was released to home therapy I could jog a small hallway back and forth. Since being home I have been working hard. Jogging still does not come naturally like walking does now. When I am in a running motion it is still a brain connection issue, brain tells leg and foot to pick up and again and again and again and so on. I jogged 0.2 miles two weeks ago, last week I hit 0.3 miles, today came so so close to a mile before my leg gave. 0.7 miles and I will take it gladly and celebrate it! So dang proud of myself!

I AM A FIGHTER. I AM A WARRIOR. I AM A SURVIVOR. Today I wear purple for SMA (Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome) Awareness Day. I was diagnosed with this very rare disease in 2017. Thank God I made it to the hospital when I did and found a doctor with knowledge who operated right away. Had I gone to the hospital just days later I would not be here today. For those of you not aware SMA syndrome is when the small part of your intestine is compressed between your Aorta & Superior Mesenteric Artery. I was in severe pain, unable to eat, below 90lbs & sick 24/7 and just kept being told It was an ulcer! Glad I listened to my intuition because I knew if I didn’t get the right help I was going to die. I have lost many SMA sisters to this horrific condition but we raise awareness in hopes that more lives are saved rather than lost. I am grateful to be alive and smiling today. My surgery and Dr.Macura saved my life. Today I woke up & I am strong. That’s what we do- take it one day at a time & one meal at time! Don’t take life for granted and always listen to your body! Thank you all for your love & support and being the sun on some of my cloudy days! 💜Rev.LJ

Be the warrior you have always been. The one who has been through hell and is still here, still fighting. You are capable of so much despite your struggle, and all you need to be is your self to change the world. #spoonie#chronicillness#beivye
