#AddressingEtiquette101 (follow our hashtag)
Did you know that it's tradition - and also gracious - to send an invitation to the officiant of your wedding? So how do you address that envelope, when there are so many denominations and titles? .
The best option is to call the church or temple office for clarification. If your officiant is non-denominational, then simply ask them how they prefer to be addressed. .
Carrie and I are both Episcopalian and this is how we address clergy. Swipe ⬅️ REMEMBER - if the wife is the minister, her name goes on a separate line because of her title.

This love story was heard straight from the horse’s mouth. The time they swapped horses while crossing a river taught them how time is the longest distance between two places.
Luca wrapped up the season with an elopement down wysteria lane in a private villa overlooking Florence. We’ll be revisiting some beautiful moments and sharing meaningful stories from this point on, until the next wedding season starts up in 2020. We are almost fully booked so if you are still wondering about who is going to conduct your wedding ceremony, don’t delay in contacting us at email@example.com
Continuing my obsession with ceremony arches, arbours, backdrops and set-ups, how impressive is this balloon arch?! 🎈
Plus this shot get MAJOR bonus points from me for the Bride/Celebrant hug and the Groom's double fist pump! That's proof of a truly awesome ceremony, and of a couple who are so damn excited to be announced as wife and hubby. 😍
NB - important! * Whilst I love this image, I encourage the most eco-friendly possible balloons and disposing of them responsibly. Or, better yet, try out some more environmentally friendly alternatives, like the colourful arch from last week! 💐
There are 100 reasons to hire a professional #WeddingOfficiant . For me, reason Number 1 comes down to making sure that a couple's #wedding ceremony is not just meaningful, and memorable, but perfect. Only a professional and experienced #WeddingCelebrant is going to make that their number 1 priority. My perfect couples understand that the ceremony is the reason for the party that follows.
A survey of recently married millenial couples' #weddingday regrets found that "I wish I had spent more time thinking about the #WeddingCeremony " was in the top ten results. I work to make sure none of my couples feels that way. After all, that's my job.
When a couple walks #downtheaisle , they can have confidence that if anything unplanned happens, their professional officiant will be ready to save the day. We've seen it all (and then talked about it at #WeddingMBA !). A professional ensures a #WorryFreeWedding .
Reason Number 2? It might be knowing that the #MarriageLicense is filled out and filed correctly.
Our weddingceremony was more amazing Than we could have ever imagined.

Having a lifelong and fun marriage is possible, but it takes work in a few areas…
LOVE… the core of any great marriage.
TRUST… to know you truly want the best for each other, even when it doesn’t feel like it at time.
DEDICATION… to stay open to one another, to learn and grow together.
FAITH… going forward together without knowing what the future holds, but knowing the One who holds it!
COMMITMENT… to hold true to the journey you pledge on your wedding day.
Lindsey and David were challenged with these words, embraced them, and dedicated themselves to spend the rest of their lives growing such a marriage... by the GRACE of God. It was so much fun officiating their BIG day! And wow, what a backdrop for such moments!

I am typically not in the business of telling couples what they should and shouldn’t do on their wedding day. However, there is one aspect of the wedding ceremony that I really (really) encourage couples to do: which is writing their own vows.
Great vows come from the heart and no one is paying attention to how you decide to string the words together, just that you said them. As long as you’re honest and speak from the heart, your vows will be perfect because they’re yours!
Arrivals are more than just "showing up". It's the space of gathering my breath + readying myself for all that manifests for folxs + their families on the wedding day.
To prepare, I take a moment to still my energy and focus on the task ahead of me, moment to moment. I leave whatever I stepped out of behind, to step into the ceremonial space.
I'm madly in love with this monochrome Christmas table decor! Perfect for your Christmas Eve wedding! Change up the accent colours and this coliur scheme can change with every season and holiday!
Tis the season! Thinking about a #Christmas wedding? I am now booking #ChristmasEve ceremonies! Get married in the comfort of your own home by your Christmas Tree, surrounded by your friends and family! Message me with your location and ceremony time request to get your booking started. New Year's Eve is also available!
People always ask me what type of ceremonies I do... The answer is a simple one - any type you like!
I am always inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly and safe.
I understand SCAdian culture and know where Ealdormere is!
Cosplay is cool with me! Do I get to choose my alter ego?
I am happy to dress up - I do love a good costume party!
Religious (non-secular) and Non-Religious (secular) weddings are always welcome. ❤
I perform marriage ceremonies and final services (funerals, memorials, celebrations of life, graveside and scattering ceremonies) in any type of building or landscape as long as it is safe. ❤
I am booking 2019 and 2020 weddings now so please message me to ask about your date and book your ceremony!
Love my red heels.
Dank je wel @sitiaisyahphotography voor de prachtige foto. Wat een mooie verrassing.
Ze gaan voor nu de kast in. Vanavond ga ik naar Bali. Verder met de reis naar mezelf en met mezelf 🏝
Celebrating a quiet word. In between the welcome, the love story, the vows, the readings and everything that your guests hear, some of the most important words at your ceremony are the quiet little reassuring comments and off-mic jokes between you the couple and me your celebrant as I gently talk you through your ceremony.
What happens at the ceremony, stays at the ceremony!
Are you considering writing your own vows for your ceremony but don't know where to start? I found a great guide that I'd love to share. It's an article from The Knot.
Here are the 10 tips:
1. Read lots of examples of vows for inspiration.
2. Agree on a format with your fiance.
3. Jot down notes about your relationship.
4. Come up with one or two or many promises.
5. Write it out.
6. Avoid cliches.
7. Take out anything too cryptic or embarrassing.
8. Shorten your vows to one or two minutes max.
9. Practice out loud.
10. Make a clean copy for yourself.
It's a great article called "10 vow tips you need to read before writing your own" by Simone Hill. #weddingtips#marriageceremony#idoweddings#socalweddings#weddingofficiant#weddingwire#theknot#bride#groom

"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success." ~Henry Ford ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💋 ❤️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤🍾❤🍾 LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED🍾❤🍾❤
These two were suuuuper unique. They wanted a sweet simple ceremony to tie the knot surrounded by their closest friends and family, and then they were going to throw a party another day. .
What I loved most about this day was the sincere, heartfelt but most importantly REAL vows they exchanged.
Listening to the two of them make their promises, I was overwhelmed by the level of growth and emotional intelligence they exuded. These guys weren't promising rainbows and sunshine, but raw honest meaningful things that would (in my opinion) make this marriage stand the test of time. .
This was powerful and beautiful. And I was honoured to be able to join them together. I am humbled and I will forever be grateful to do this work. 🙏🍃💗
Congratulations you two!!🍾🍾

Amber & Adrian I feel so lucky to have been a part of your wedding day. The entire “vibe” of your location and from your guests was so serene and genuine. Adrian, thank you for making me laugh so hard with your unique sense of humor. I hope the ultra short ceremony (although it could have been shorter by your standards 😆) helped ease you into this new chapter and that your night ended magnificently. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Sotelo! 💗 #fromtheheartceremonies#weddingofficiant#weddinginspo#559weddings#backyardwedding#californiaweddingofficiant

The experience I am left in after being officiating a wedding and being a guest at a temple ceremony earlier in the day is this: when you are intentional about presencing differences, you automatically create inclusion. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Acknowledging that there are different languages, ideas, cultures, religions, sex, gender, race etc. whichever they may be, a conversation begins. Not a calling out of “what’s not like the other”, rather an inviting in, with respect, reverence, genuine interest and grace.
When we come together with an open heart and the deep knowing / listening that we are so much more similar than we are different.
Genuine support is within reach. Lean in.
Healing happens. It’s yours.
Deep human bonds are created, repaired, solidified. Huddle in closer. A little more.
One of my life’s best gifts has been to be hugged without being the 1st one to let go. Hug your people a little harder, a little longer. It can change their life. It’ll change yours. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Hey there! It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself to my followers so here goes! ✨✨Meet the Officiant ✨✨
Sharnise Sears: Love Leader, Professional WeddingOfficiant, & Pre-Marital Coach.
I love love, I love weddings, I love cake and I love helping couples secure a solid foundation to a happy and healthy marriage 🎉 💍 .
My wonderful husband, Anton Sears, and I have been married for 5 years (insert happy dance 💃🏽) and we have a blended family of 3 boys and 1 fur baby (she's actually not a baby she’s huge but still!). .
When I’m not playing referee between all the men in our house, I’m designing beautiful ceremonies that will most definitely make you laugh and maybe cry but most importantly create a memory that’s far from boring! .
I truly believe in the power of love and all that it has to offer so don’t be surprised when I ask you both to share your love story with me (I need ALL the details)💏 Standing between, praying for, and uniting two individuals who love each other so much, is the most indescribable feeling I’ve ever encountered....I simply cannot get enough 💞Interested in booking?
