She started with POW in 2014 at 19 years old as a Naturalist/Deckhand on Ocean Magic, operating the Ultimate Day Tour from Vancouver to Victoria. The first season really opened her eyes to the intelligence and mystery of whales, and she was hooked! In 2018 she got her 60 Ton Master and began working as a mate on OM, which proved to be a defining year. After 5 seasons in Vancouver, Sharon was excited to relocate to the new Telegraph Cove location. “The biggest surprise for me looking back at this unconventional job is how I have evolved into the marine industry. Looking back at my 19 year old self, nervous to take my first official crew job, I would have never expected to have worked my way up to a 60 ton Master cert five years later. And now 7 years later not being able to picture myself doing anything else but work on a boat." - Sharon.

Happy place alert! @powellsbooks in Portland is one of those places for us. You just can’t compare to this place! No visit is complete without a stop in the astrology section either #tradition ! This is the latest treasure to come home with us.📚
Going to be giving this up for a bit of surf this week! Even though the wetsuits will be thick and the water frigid, I cannot wait to jump in

This has been a pleasurable reminder of the splendor and beauty of the California Coastline!
I haven't taken this trip in almost 20 years! Playing in your own backyard!! California has so many wonderful features from San Diego to San Francisco!! 🚘
The Golden Gate Bridge🌉, the Bay Bridge to Richmond and Oakland and beautiful Sausalito where Otis Redding wrote, "Sitting on the dock of the Bay", just breathtakingly beautiful!!
Big Sur is the pièce de résistance!! I could sit here all day looking into the vast sea!!🌅
Happily enjoying this road trip!! ☺️
What's in your backyard? Explored your state lately? ☮
Have an amazing day wherever you are🙏😎
Hip-Hip-Hooray spring is on the horizon and I cannot wait to enjoy long, sunny days outside. We have one more month left in California and then we will be making our way up to Oregon (so maybe I shouldn’t count on too much sun ☀️).
We got hit with a heavy downpour early in our morning walk on the wild pacific trail. The the sun made a surprise appearance just for a little bit... long enough for us to channel in our inner Wes Anderson at this lighthouse.
Just listen to that crackle and watch that explosion of goodness! 🤪⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“A Red Chair Sunrise” finished and off to its new home already! This piece marks one year since I started painting again and embarked on my journey. My first piece was “East View” from before. I’m so excited that I’m able to keep improving and working towards more exciting goals. Prints of these are finally available on my website too!
After being so busy with school I’m finally on a break and can catch up on business work and touch up my website! It’s been so long since I’ve added things to my website so now it’s all back and running again ☺️
