2016 CIRQ Pinot Noir Treehouse | Russian River Valley Sonoma County California 750ml
It has always been my dream to plant a vineyard and make wine from it. Wines that are the highest quality obtainable. Wines that provide a lens on where they were grown. CIRQ is the realization of that dream. | Michael Browne
Fresh cranberry, pomegranate and dense raspberries, softly muddled with cardamom, cinnamon and coriander with a small amount of dried blood orange zest. Multitude of soft red fruits, schozberry, wrapped in thin red apple skin. Creamy, with an eddy of velvety taffeta, fine tannins that linger and settle deeply throughout, boomeranging from front to back then resting on the mid palate. | CIRQ ...offers rockstar notes of black cherries, mulberries, crushed violets, and forest floor/underbrush. Medium-bodied, vibrant, and seamless, with nothing out of place and ultra-fine, building tannin, it shows the balance and purity that's the hallmark of this incredible vintage in Sonoma... | 98 points, Jeb Dunnuck for jebdunnuck.com

🍷”Nerimatti” Salice Salentino, @cantinepaololeo 📝 Caratteristiche:
Vitigni: Negroamaro (85%) e altri vitigni autoctoni
Poi in bocca è dolce all'inizio, acido, salato, molto amaro e con media solubilità
🥇VdS Point: 93/100
🍷"Nerimatti" Salice Salentino, @cantinepaololeo
Grapes: Negroamaro (85%) and other indigenous grapes
Serving suggestions: I wanted to combine this soft salami with @fontegranne, which I was struck by this smell of melted butter, fresh hazelnut, boiled potato, and on the finish a slight animal note (cooked ham). Then in the mouth it is sweet at the beginning, sour, salty, very bitter and with medium solubility
Color: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections
Olfactory notes: Intense bouquet of ripe fruit, especially black cherry and plum, with a pleasant spicy note of licorice and vanilla
Taste: Well structured, full and harmonious with soft and enveloping tannins. Final persistence of black berry fruits and spices
🥇VdS Point: 93/100

I have this thought sometimes that I am half assed person. I can find a lot of evidence to support this.
The book I didn’t finish reading.
The Invisalign that I’m not wearing.
The programs I didn’t succeed in for work.
The tutorials I haven’t finished.
I could go on and on with this list.
It’s simply the belief that “I’m a half assed person” that’s even creating any of these results in the first place.
My brain’s job is to keep me alive and one of it’s primary motivations is to conserve energy. So my brain offering the thought “I’m a half assed person” keeps me from doing or completing things.
Score 1 for staying alive. Go brain!
Score 0 for me doing what I really desire.
Another thing the brain does is prove itself right. It’s always looking for evidence to prove itself right so I have to get my brain going in a different direction; show it where I DO complete things in order to get it revved up to support me in the future.
What have I completed? Where am I not a half assed-person?
That list is long too!
I completed an MS in Counseling.
I completed 12 half marathons.
I completed and passed the CSW course.
I completed a Life Coaching Certification.
I completed paying off 18K of my student loan last year.
I completed paying off 2 cars in my life.
I completed buying my dream house.
I completed my own mindful drinking program.
See brain, I DO stuff!
I’m not a half-assed person. It’s just a thought. Offered by my brain. To keep me doing less. When it goes unquestioned, I prove the thought right. When I get curious about it, I understand what’s happening and I can change what I’m doing and believing.
So what is your brain telling you you have not done?
What are you believing about yourself right now that proves all of this?
What if you found the evidence for the opposite of this belief?
Have you ever tried?
How does finding the evidence for the opposite change that original belief?
What can you do in your life when you believe this?
Accidentally opened another #italianwine this #winewednesday 🍇 and this time, I decided to take the photo with it open just so you can all see these reviews are legit! This evening’s victim could never have hidden its Italian roots. ‘Voglio invecchiare con te’ it cried, as I pulled out the cork. So I poured it in a glass and breathed in the handsome aromas of the Tuscan sunshine, leather and spice and black fruit. Before I get carried away, this is 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet and 25% Merlot. It’s from Roccastrada in Tuscany, on a little farm where they don’t make a tonne of wine, but enough so that a few lucky bottles make their way to the UK with Rob from @jacksonandseddon 🐶 this wine hasn’t seen any oak, it’s their entry level, go-to reassuring red that you just need every so often. It’s £20, there are 12 left...what more can I say! I had it with some venison stew, it was lovely.
