A peek inside my low hoop house... spring bulbs & corms and overwintering plants like chard, spinach & kale get a little extra protection from the cold, and I get to eat greens earlier in the spring while (hopefully) admiring the ranunculus & anemone blooms I planted 😄
The sun is shining, we’ve got blue skies in the forecast for the day, and I will be here (and then possibly go for an afternoon yoga class). Lots happening in the garden and I think today is the day I am going to pull the final summer veggies (yes I still have multiple tomato plants, peppers, and corn). Any winter veggie recommendations from my fellow gardeners? Might stop by the nursery and pick up a few more starts. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! #sundayfunday#sundaygardening#garden#gardening#gardenlife#gardeners#growinginthegarden#wintergarden#getoutside

Mornings in the garden, even without full beds of veggies, are my absolute favorite way to start the day. That week and a half weather spurt we got killed off my radish sprouts but I'm trying again. I am determined to grow something in this hoop house before our actual planting season in May. 🌱
My Nerine / Nerine Bowdenii in flower! I took this over a month ago, I am the slowest at transferring photos to my phone sometimes. -
I planted these bulbs back in August, not expecting any first year flowers. This is the only one that decided to flower! Next year should be impressive when all the bulbs flower.

In the vile food rankings behind Andouillette sausages, sea buckthorn berries are a bitter taste of the farmyard.
They were served as a puree with carrot cake at #tatemodern recently where I learned of their startling flavour qualities. The waiter understated that "they do divide opinion". Beware.
