Smth new I've learned last week:
🚀Launch for a start up is not one moment in time. As long as you will be launching new features or new products, it all requires a separate launch.
It's a continuing process.
... To find your right users or to find out if you are taking to you right users.
Here are different steps in launching:
✔️start from silent launch (I. E. By having a very basic landing page with a name, short description, contacts and call for action). Reason - to collect interest and contacts.
✔️Friends & Family launch. Very basic set up: Watch them use it and ask for a feedback.
✔️Launch to strangers - try your company in action. First real use experince.
✔️Online communities - launch via any community you are part of. (my plan for the next week, so don't be surprised). Fun fact, when Airbnb 🏘️ launched they had no maps for the property or a paygate (people exchanged money at check in).
✔️Request for access. Have your heard of dating apps where you get wait-listed? Works the same way here. Bring them new clients, spread the word for them and you'll move up quickly to become part of the community.
✔️Engaging with bloggers might have a huge impact (and that cost money). Nevertheless, reaching out to 50 of them might leave you with only 4-5 responding
✔️New Product or New Feuture launch - every time should be pitched and activate a community. #launch#lifehacks#startup#startupbusiness#startuplife#newfeature#newlaunch#success#womenintech#boss#allthewayup#femaleowned

Day 60 of the #100daysofcode
🌈 Today I played around with animating CSS gradients.
I managed to get a gradient that moved around a bit. I was working on trying to get one gradient to fade into another, but didn’t quite get it figured out yet.
Reading a good book (the queen's shadow) in bed after a Monday working all day feels so good !.
I finalized a project that I've been working on for the past few months and I'm actually really proud of the results we ended up with. It was an intriguing project to work on and I learned a lot of new techniques and I'm always grateful for that !.
But this also mean that I'll be starting on a new project this week and it is as interesting as the last one ! I have to do a little bit of reading on it before starting so it's an awesome way to start a week!.
What about you guys, any cool new projects you're working on ?

We are so excited to have @amazonwebservices sponsoring our International Women's Day event for the second year in a row! 💥👩💻🌏 It isn't a secret that @amazonwebservices is a big supporter of Women in Digital. They are a major player in the tech space with their cloud computing solutions and to have them as an ally in all things gender diversity and diversity & inclusion more broadly is phenomenal.
The AWS team will be at our International Women's Day where you will be able to learn about the work they are doing in the community to address the digital workforce gap but in the meantime, you can read more by clicking the link in our bio.

Worried abot the Robots taking over? Don't sweat ... our panellists generally agree that we are a loooooooong way away from true humanoid, intelligent robots.⠀
Pfffew. We're not quite ready to have even paperclips stolen let alone our jobs 💥💥
Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day of your life. Sometimes I think my value comes from how much a man chases me, or how much I make, or what I do, and this is so not true. Not for me nor for you. Our values come from our positive responses, morals and actions when not so nice things come our way. We are more powerful beyond measure and I’m only now starting to now realize that latent potential in me..

BVLA is unlike other accelerators, in that we understand that founders already know how to operate their companies. Our sweet spot is helping founders navigate the more nuanced challenges that come with leading a high-stakes early-stage company.
Through BVLA, founders have access to an eight month skill-building program, leadership coaching, mentors, investors, and more, all designed to assist them as they continually scale their company. Additionally, we curate a community that supports them as they make the best decisions for all stakeholders -- their employees, investors, customers, and themselves.

Often times you realize you can’t do things alone. Sometimes you need support, encouragement, honesty, collaboration, community, love, prayers maybe even a coin or two. It’s okay to be vulnerable and say you need a sister-friend! What does sisterhood mean to you ? 💕

**Amazon raises the Pan-African flag for Black History Month!** On February 13, 2020, Amazon raised the Pan-African Flag at their Seattle headquarters to show support and solidarity for Black History Month, Black employees, and the Black community. The ceremony was a time of celebration, pride, reflection, and awareness. I have been trying to find the words to explain how I feel; I’m beyond proud and feel so blessed to be able to help lead this initiative with members of our executive team (pictured with me: Beth Galetti, SVP of Global HR, Ian Wilson, VP of AWS HR, Brian Olsavsky, Chief Financial Officer). The saying, “you have not, because you ask not” is real! If you want something, push for it!

A book I highly recommend to all my fellow UX Designers out there for essential tips on how to get noticed in this field. This book contains great tips that work.
When I first started my Instagram, I was sharing more of my work and journey into UX Design and quickly got noticed. I was featured on different online publications and a panelist at two tech events. I am proof that it works.
Here’s the book summary is 3 sentences:
1. Let others into your process—then let them steal from you.
2. You can’t find your voice if you don’t use it.
3. Share without oversharing (think work; not workouts).
Dr. Bushra Anjum invited Karen to speak at the @anitab.0rg monthly Technical Leaders call. They had fun speaking about Better Allies and Karen’s career in tech. Karen also shared some themes she sees in her coaching business, including becoming more strategic and being more visible. Did you know public speaking is like a multivitamin for our careers?
Patience comes with great power, delay gratification and long term plans will give you absolute freedom.
This is one of the most important skill the 1% of the population praised.

Coming home to find this overlooked flyer in the @wearlively package I opened for my job interview today. Good anthem for the day, re-reviewing the take home assignment, dispersed with wedding RSVP page editing.

I had the perfect Sunday... full of self-care, mindful movement and planning. ⠀
What is everyone up to this week? ⠀
I must say I am a little anxious with how much I have on this week. Including full day solution handover and enablement with one of my customers, finishing up projects, two full day work events, and three after work events. ⠀
When I have jam packed weeks like this self-care is one of my top priorities. It’s vital I am the best version of me, and there is not way I can be that version running on empty!
🤩My 2019 Annual Review is up on my blog!
