This small island located near Ilo-ilo City is one of the smallest provinces in the Philippines. Its a 15-20 minute boat ride from Ilo-ilo City. Guimaras Island is known as the land of sweet mangoes. It’s quiet and peaceful place. Among the places we’ve visited in the city, Guisi Lighthouse was my favorite. It is a century-old piece intended to guide ships sailing along Panay Gulf. The lighthouse turned rusty and therefore, not safe for climbing. The walls of the ruins were flooded with uprooted plants which is i think the highlight of this spot. For those backpacking across multiple cities and provinces, a daytour in Guimaras is good enough to feed your wandering souls with its warm and majestic beauty. 👍
Bunch of people gathered at the summit of Mt. Ayngat to capture the beautiful sunrise. My kind of Sunday 😁. Mt. Ayngat is one of the begginer-friendly mountains in Rizal with 600masl. #SinoPinas

We stayed in this cocoon for a night, at Hacienda Don Juan Beach Resort in Glan, Sarangani.
Glan is known as the ‘Boracay of the South,’ as it boasts similar white sand and crystal clear waters with its namesake in Aklan. 🏝
7 Waterfalls, Lake Sebu by @karl_olivier - “I wish I had a river so long, I would teach my feet to fly. I wish I had a river I could skate away on.” 🎵
The lyric above is from the song, “River,” by Joni Mitchell. You see, from where she came from, rivers freeze and sort of become skating rinks where people slide and skate. Her “skating away fast as if she’d fly” is a metaphor for escape from whatever she’s at. I guess we can relate to that as we constantly experience hardships that challenge our sanity we just want to escape even for a while.
