I used to be the girl who always thought I can’t do that. L could always find an excuse.....
✨my back is fused
✨it hurts too bad
✨I’m too weak
✨I’m disabled ✨I can’t move like that
✨I’m too old
✨I don’t like healthy foods
✨I don’t know where to start
And those are just to name a few.
But then I finally decided since everything else I was trying for pain didn’t help....WHY not try a lifestyle change? I mean, it couldn’t hurt to try!
To my amazement, the longer I worked at it, the BETTER I felt.
My MIND became stronger....and that helps me so much dealing with the pain.
No, it’s not as easy as popping a pill and doing nothing.
But it’s so much better actually LIVING, than being stuck and depressed 🙌🙌🙌🙌 So when it gets hard, and the pain is temporally worse....I know I CAN do it and the results are DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!! If you can relate...I can help you start.....you just have to BELIEVE you CAN do it! #hammerandchisel#believeinyourself#keeppushing#chronicpainwarrior#40andfit#workinprogress#fitnesslifestyle#fitwithfibro

When I talk to people in person about my fitness journey, they assume I just started. They don't look at me and see how toned I am or my muscles. They see that I'm wide and have a belly. Just because someone doesn't look like the traditional version of fit, doesn't mean that they aren't fit. It is hard watching yourself gain weight when you become fit. Everyone always says muscle weighs more than fat does, but I didn't realize how much more it does!
Trying new styles is daunting as it is exciting. This was my first abstract attempted back in January.
At Art college I was taught more about colour theory, life drawing & realism.
I have never touched on abstract before. I’m quite happy how it turned out but within the last month I have learnt more about composition, so I’m excited to share some future abstracts with you! “Dare to Dream of something New”

Sooo the ideas so far
The curls in front will be curved, so i cut and glued tupes in shape, they need to dry first.
Since cozy glow actually doesnt have that many curls BUT their pretty charackterstic for her, i need to do curls on the back
But it simply doesnt look good to put on like 12 tubes on the wig, i need something thats loosening up this look and fits her style.
I tried out a few things and the best result to get this curly, messy but kinda neat hair is this:
I backcomb below a wide strand of hair and lay it over so i get this bulky volume ball in but with the straight hair above it looks tidy and u can see the strands of hair i dyed
So far i only did this to one strand but i simulated it with other stuff and put in some tubes i had cut off (cause they didnt turn out good enough) to get a view of the result
I like it so far, i need to put the tubes on different heights so it wont look too stiff and obviously fake, and those bulks will be placed mainly on the ends of the tubes and maybe some in between.
I will cut out some hair, this wig has more hair than i could use wisely, but thats not a bad problem to have actually xD
Finally iam gettin somewhere #mlp#mlpfim#mlpcozyglow#mlpcosplay#workinprogress#cosplaywigstyling#cosplaywig
SLIPPING RIBS. .
🦓 After being diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I began to wonder: just how many joints / body parts does this affect? 🤔 If EDS is a disorder of th connectiv tissue.... and we have connective tissue pretty much everywhere. So... Is my foot pain, the clicking in my hips? And the weird popping in their ribs? There's no way my RIBS are subluxing... The ribcage is all one big bony structure, there's no real "joints" to pop out! Surely my ribs are safe from EDS....
✨Well, the ribcage is made up of 12 sets of ribs. The first 7 sets directly articulate (or meet) the sternum, and are called "true ribs." The other 5 are considered "false ribs" -- or costae spuraie. False ribs 8-10 connect to the sternum via fibrous tissue -- aka ligaments. The flexibility of this tissue allows for the expansion and contraction of our ribcage for important functions -- like respiration 🌬️
So now we know EDS is a connective tissue disorder, and our ribcage relies on connective tissue to stabilize 3/12 sets of our ribs. Enter: Slipping Rib Syndrome (SRS). Usually occuring in the false ribs, SRS occurs when there is too much movement in the fibrous tissue connecting the ribs to the sternum. This excess movement can lead to sharp pain in the abdomen & back, a "clicking" or "popping" feeling, and sometimes, the feeling that a rib is "stuck." 🙅♀️
Often times, the "slip" happens with twisting or bending, and can truly knock the wind out of you. Thankfully, once you identify those motions, you can adjust your movement patterns (for me, it is putting on a seatbelt 💺& rolling over in bed 🛏️) and *hopefully* lessen the instance of it happening! If not, physical therapy, anti-inflammatories, and specific chest-wall training can be helpful in treating SRS. 🏋️
✨Did you know that our ribcage could actually move? Or that there were "true" and "false" ribs? .

A process video showing the finishing touches on a pair of dogwood paintings for a dear friend of mine 💙. Sorry for the jumbled video quality, I was switching between the two canvases and didn’t use my brain to think how it would appear on the time lapse 🤣🤣🤣
Even though I’ve literally been knitting a sweater out of one for the past 7 weeks, I still kind of can’t believe the Porter Bin finally exists in toffee. It was an impossible dream for such a long time, and then the Rambler project made it possible. The fate of future Ramblers is still up in the air, as previously noted, but I’m so so happy we’ve got the toffee Porter at long last. And so glad you guys seem to love it as much as I do! The Porter is my absolute favorite for sweaters (among other uses), and you can get this beauty only at fringesupplyco.com (link in profile or tap the image). #fringeporterbin#fringesupplyco
