This is so true! I haven’t worked out for two weeks because 1- it was tech week and we got spoiled at work, and week 2 I was sick. But back on the grind today and literally had to push myself to finish my workout. Once you feel the burn you don’t stop... you have to keep going and push your limits to get them gains! That’s how it is in life too though 🤔 Maybe there are situations that we are battling emotionally and mentally that we think “how am I going to get through this?”... Well let me tell you I’ve been there, thought that. Where I can’t thank anyone else but God for getting me through some tough moments. Once you cross them though, and you see how far you have come... it doesn’t seem as impossible as it did when you were GOING THOUGH IT. Per usual I started with some jump roping and a dynamic warm up
1️⃣Seated Arnold press 12-8x4 I started lighter and went up in weight. Keep your arms slightly in front of your shoulders to prevent injury and avoid hitting the weights together at the top!

6 weeks of the hardest program I’ve done yet is complete. Of course the last few days of this program I’d finally catch my kiddos colds 😅 I may have no voice right now but I got my workouts in & I’ll be sticking to my meal plan to finish this weekend strong 🙌🏼
Baby boy was sleeping and the girls were playing while I finished. Honestly just feeling like a total badass and I hope whatever your fitness journey looks like... you feel like one too!!!! I’ll share my results with y’all soon.... I’m going to rest and drink my Recover post workout shake (my lifesaver to help with muscle recovery) so I can move tomorrow 😂😫🔥

I don't normally post these kinds of pictures (at least not on my personal/non-fitness gram) but I caught a glimpse while getting ready for a run and thought "damn". I still have a back roll and lumps and bumps but I'm learning more every day to love who and how I am in the moment. The human body is an amazing machine! It can walk,run, climb, jump, fight infection, laugh, sing, carry others, create a life.... So I think we need to be kinder to ourselves. Love your skin, you only get one.❤
Side note: I have played soccer for 23 of my 29 years of life (as a midfield) and I HATE running. I'm not good at it. I don't practice at the gym. It's hard and I find it boring. BUT I will run for charity and food and when obstacles are involved. Which is what I'm doing in about 2 hours at the Donut Dash 5k in Hamilton, ON.👟
Sometimes I find myself feeling guilty when it is not well with my soul. I find myself feeling silly or ungrateful or dramatic or not strong enough. Truthfully, after Peace Corps, I’ve struggled a lot with privilege and seeing my struggles as invalid or selfish.
I don’t believe in coincidence, and this morning was one of those mornings where I pulled up my daily devotional after being on a hiatus of not reading for about a week (just fell right off the bus 🚌) and it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear.
We can struggle and still hold onto truth. It is healthy to realize when things are not well! And I’m here to remind you (and myself) that each of our struggles are OUR STRUGGLES and impacting our own lives on some level or another. Just because your struggle may be lack of sleep or stress of paying rent or fighting off a common cold while someone else’s struggle may be finding a fulfilling meal today, does not make your struggle invalid. It is a whole lot different and maybe not as life threatening or dismal, but it is still affecting you psychologically or maybe even physically.
It’s so important to recognize our blessings and be grateful for the smallest bits of this life, but it’s ok to not feel ok for a season. It may not be well with your soul right now, but remember the truth that we are held in the palm of His hand, and HE will make our souls well once more. A truth that we can hold onto today, and every day.
