What writers are saying about working with me ✍🏼✍🏼
“I have worked with Krista Harper for more than a year. In that time she’s proven she has immense passion for storytelling and the success of authors, whether they be traditional
or indie. She has an intuition with story that surpasses anyone I’ve worked with in the past. I highly recommend Krista’s services for those just starting out on the writing path, for those embarking on publication, and every writer in between.” .

And allow yourself to rest 💫💕 It was amazing spotting the leopard on our evening safari during our stay in Kruger National Park. Usually it is an animal that is very difficult to locate in the wild, but we experienced this inexpressible delight. Everyone on our safari bus was very excited and it seemed as if they had forgotten all the rules that the rangers had told us before. They stood up, hung their heads out of the window with their cameras and gave the driver loud instructions on where the best place was (a little bit more backwards, now forwards etc.). It was also very difficult to get a sharp picture of the leopard because it was moving, we were driving, and it was already dark outside. The surroundings were only illuminated by the few lights of our safari bus.
Leopards belong to the big five in South Africa. By the way, as you might have noticed, the big five do not refer to the size of the animals. (Leopards are the smallest members of the large cat category.) It rather refers to the difficulties & dangers of hunting these animals. The Leopard can easily be overlooked as the spotted fur makes them blend into their environment. They spend a lot of time in the trees. They even carry their heavy prey up in the trees to prevent it from being taken by other animals, which shows that they are really strong animals with very good climbing skills. By the way they are also fast runners and good swimmers. They can jump 6 meters forward and 3 meters straight up. They have a very good sense of hearing. Leopards are nocturnal animals and spend the night hunting. They sneak up on their prey, pounce on them and kill them with a quick bite to the neck. Leopards have large territories and mark them with urine and claw marks on trees. Like cats they growl when they are angry and purr when they are content. They are solitary animals and only spend time with conspecifics when they are mating or rising their cubs. Unfortunately, the population of leopards is declining due to hunting and habitat loss.

Verily, good deeds erase bad deeds; but what kind of good deeds are we talking about? Smile to those who are less fortunate; make them feel human. Compliment strangers. Visit the sick and the orphans. Pick up your phone and ask any of your friends or acquaintances how they’re doing and wish them good health. Visit an elderly home and listen to what they have to say. Make someone smile. Be kind and gentle with humans, plants, animals and all god’s creations. Be generous with your neighbors and kind to your parents. Do more volunteer work. Greet those whom you know and do not know. Say zikr and always remember Allah and his mercy. Tasbeeh, takbeer and tahmeed. Fast on Mondays and Thursdays. Give charity. Pray in congregation in a mosque. Set a daily goal and try to read Quran everyday. Instead of collecting money and materialistic objects, collect good deeds and secure your spot in jannah (Inshaallah).

I N S T A N T H A I K U DAILY
in the afterlife
we’ll learn what’s REALLY on our...
Hey everyone! Joey here again, and this time I'm going to give a little tip! I know most people when they write, they feel their wording is plain, nothing to make it stand out.
A good way to work on this, is to figure out your voice! How can one find there voice? Well, what kind of story teller are you? Are you the type of story teller that tells scary tales around the bonfire amongst friends? Are you the one to talk about a dramatic series of events to a crowd? Or maybe a tall tales to your baby brother or sister before they go to sleep?
Experiment in front of your friends and family, project the voice you think fits for your story. •
Another great way to work on this is find your favorite words (verbs, adjectives, nouns etc.) And ask yourself why? Write them on a list and find words that fit in the same manner!
It’s lines like the last one in this excerpt that make me proud of this book. Most of this book was written over a weekend, and then when more was added, it was all pretty stream-of-consciousness. I’m not the kind of writer who can set out to write and then come up with something good. But I know now, that’s how real writers become professional writers. So I’m setting out to change that.
Anyway...I always love reading the last line, and I wish I could take pride in my creativity coming up with it, but it was really the thought that came into my head when I was thinking about this.
If you’re interested in getting a signed copy of my first book “Rock Bottom at The Renaissance: An Emo Kid’s Journey Through Falling In and Out of Love In and With New York City” please go to the LINK IN THE BIO and get it 2 months before it’s officially released!
Everything that makes you feel alive and true to yourself, is worth keeping in your life. Every person that makes you feel good in your skin, without you trying to be something you’re not, is worth making an effort to keep that person by your side for life. ❤️ What makes you feel alive and true you?

i can't remember
the exact moment
or the exact time,
or what the sky
or if the birds were chirping,
or if the wind
was playing with your hair,
i can't remember
when, how, what
that made me fall in love with you.
i just looked at you,
you wouldn't remember,
something about you
kept telling me
i'm going to turn
our conversations into poetry.
i think it began
when i couldn't listen
to Rafi and not think about you,
when going to bed
without hearing your voice,
didn't make sense to me.
i kept thinking,
how you bring
a different kind of toxicity
into my life,
the kind that consumes me,
for my own good.
the kind that tells me
you're exactly the one thing
that was missing in my life,
all these years.
that screams louder than the voices inside my head,
and tells me how
i'm good enough -
and how sometimes just
being good, is enough.
who drags me out of my shell,
my comfort zone,
my isolation -
just to make me feel like home,
you're sometimes the song
that keeps playing inside my head,
exactly when it isn't supposed to.
and other times,
you're the song on my playlist,
that i always skip,
but never delete.
you're the exception
they keep talking about -
my rare find.
telling you, how you complete me,
would be a lie.
i'd rather tell you
how i feel comfortable
when i'm with you.
believe me, i can't remember,
when all this really happened,
i think it began,
when i looked at you,
and this time,
you were looking at me too. #jhalwrites
