If you’ve lost someone special in your life, grief is a normal process to go through. You may feel various emotions, such as sadness, loneliness, or depression. It’s essential to allow your grief process to unfold naturally.
The grief process depends on several factors, like age, beliefs, personality, and support system. If you are feeling deep, emotional pain, it may be tempting to turn to drugs and alcohol to numb your pain. However, these are only temporary solutions and will not make you feel better or heal any faster. They can lead to dangerous addictions and emotional breakdowns. Instead, consider doing healthy activities that can help you come to terms with your loss.
While you are going through the grief process, doing the types of activities below can assist you in your journey of healing and growth. ••• Take Care of Yourself – grief can take a toll on your well-being. Eat well, go for a walk, or do other forms of exercise, and get plenty of rest. You need to stay healthy to get through the grief process. ••• Be Emotional – let yourself cry. Crying releases tension and sorrow. ••• Reach Out to Others –even though you need time to yourself, it’s important to reach out to family and friends. Find those who you trust and respect and share your feelings with them. ••• Write Notes – write some notes to the person you lost. In the letters, express your feelings and what you are going through. The goal is to allow yourself to say what’s in your heart.

This week’s storm has created some very dangerous conditions to be aware of. Because of Los Angeles's notoriously dry weather, rain water makes the roads slick with oil. This, paired with low visibility, can be a recipe for disaster. Take extra caution when driving to keep you and those around you safe!

Another introduction Tuesday! We love giving you an inside look of the people who work together to keep our clients satisfied every step of the way. Today we introduce our legal assistant Peyton and our receptionist Kerry. Peyton helps our team manage cases, keep client relations, and communicate with providers. Kerry is the first point of contact for all of our calls, manages all of our documents, and personally greets our guests. Both of them are newer employees here, but they’re already proving their dedication to our mission and goals. Today we celebrate their good work!
We are often asked what comparative negligence means. To answer in one sentence, it means to be partially at fault for your injury. To learn more about comparative negligence, visit our website at https://clawfirmpc.com/faqs-resources/comparative-negligence/
A recent report from federal regulatory agencies showed that superbug illnesses and deaths are on the rise, infecting millions of people every year. A “superbug” is defined as a bacteria or virus that has a wide range of resistance to multiple classes of antibiotics. Antibiotics are drugs that are designed to either kill or stop the replication of bacteria or viruses. Countless people rely on these prescription medications to fight both common and rare illnesses.
Unfortunately, one of the major problems regarding infections is that antibiotic resistance is quickly increasing. This is exemplified by the rapid rise in the number and infectivity of superbugs. Therefore, there is some important information that everyone needs to know.
The trains’ crews also have to deal with a higher-than-average number of deaths involving people on the tracks — more than one a month.
An Associated Press analysis of Federal Railroad Administration data shows about one fatality for every 29,000 miles (47,000 kilometers) traveled. That’s the worst per-mile death rate of the nation’s 821 railroads.
Florida is a “no-fault”(PIP) state when it comes to car accidents. This means that you can recover money from your PIP insurance carrier for your medical bills caused by the accident regardless of negligence.
🚙If you can establish that the accident was caused by another person’s negligence, you can recover compensation for lost wages and future medical bills from that person’s bodily injury (BI) insurance company.
🚙If you suffered a permanent injury, you can recover pain and suffering and other damages from the negligent person’s bodily injury (BI) insurance.
🚙If the at-fault party does not carrier bodily injury insurance, you can recover from your Uninsured/Underinsured motorist insurance.
🚙However, in Florida bodily injury (BI) insurance and Uninsured/Underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) insurance is not mandatory. Florida is one of only two states that does not mandate that all drivers have bodily injury insurance. The result is that in many cases, there is no insurance coverage for victims’ injuries.
🚙At our firm, we work to discover all available insurance and explore all possible avenues of recovery. Our law firm has a history of success in turning low-value or low-insurance cases into larger settlement recoveries for our clients.

#RodneyReed is 50 years old.

the State of #Texas is going to kill him. He will breathe one last time on November 20th. .
He's being accused of killing a white, 19-year old fiancee named Stacey.
Her fiance was a local police officer named Jimmy.
She was having an affair with Rodney.
That's why his DNA was found on her body.
She'd been strangled with a belt.
Rodney was found guilty by an all-white jury.
He didn't do it. .
In the years that Rodney has been sitting in jail, new testimony and evidence have emerged that Jimmy not only threatened to kill Stacey if she ever left him, but he's since served time for raping another woman.
While incarcerated on that (new) rape charge, hoping to gain the trust of the Aryan Brotherhood, Jimmy told a fellow inmate, '‘I had to kill my [racial slur]-loving fiancé,' He also failed 2 lie detector tests at the time of Stacey's murder.
The State of Texas has repeatedly refused to retry the case, or grant a stay of execution. .
Our system of #massincarceration is unjust on a good day.
On the days - in the hours - that we kill people whose innocence is in question - is a burden we must all collectively bear.
