Esta era e é uma das salas de terapias, do Ginger Yoga, nos Aliados. Eu já não trabalho na baixa, mas o Pedro ainda faz algumas das terapias ayurveda lá. A vida é muito engraçada, traz tudo o que tem de ser trabalhado e neste esforço e amor conjunto, nas várias esferas da nossa vida, se estivermos verdadeiramente conectados e enraizados com o nosso propósito.
Nestes 11 anos, criamos o Ginger Yoga, em 2013, plena baixa, nos Aliados, ainda q a nossa energia ainda estivesse dispersa, também, noutros projectos.
O Pedro foi geógrafo e contemplou a beleza natural dos fiordes nórdicos, enquanto recolhia dados e mapeava o território. Eu fui jornalista, autora e produtora de conteúdos, assistente de produção, orientei oficinas e geri projectos educativos com variados públicos e contextos. Cultura e exclusão social.
Podemos duvidar de algumas coisas, descobrir por onde queremos ou não ir, mas a escolha que fizemos, há um ano, de arriscar e abrir a escola em Pinheiro Manso, foi um salto q confiamos dar. A vida convida q se arrisque e q se confie. Por mais que nos esforcemos para controlar as coisas, a ordem natural das coisas também nos ensina o que flui e o que não flui. Ensina a fazemos a nossa parte, a trabalharmos e investirmos muito, a estudarmos muito, sem nunca perder os pés da terra. A largar quando é preciso. A cultivar a humildade de quem conhece e vivencia a gratidão e bênção de poder abraçar o q se acredita, mesmo q nem sempre seja proporcional às "vontades e seguranças de outrora", aos direitos de um contrato de trabalho, às férias e afins, enfim, a todo um conjunto de circunstâncias q quer um, quer outro já fruiu, ainda q de forma bem humilde, neste país à beira mar plantado.
Confiamos. A aprender, a crescer, a integrar. Não há nada mais importante do que as relações criadas, a empatia e confiança que as pessoas com quem trabalhamos possam depositar em nós. Não há nada maior e mais gratificante do que os processos e o que acontece nos bastidores.
Não há nada mais importante do que a honestidade, o esforço, a dedicação e seriedade que vemos nos professores com quem aprendemos, e na atitude q queremos continuar a cultivar. .
Begegnungen... Manchmal begegnen dir Menschen und du weißt, dass sie dir aus einem Grund in deinem Leben begegnen...Du kannst einen wichtigen Lebensschritt mit Ihnen gehen, sie fordern dich oder helfen dir, selbst mehr herauszufinden, wer du bist und was du willst. Du empfindest vielleicht auch mal Widerstand, Schmerz und das Gefühl von Ungerechtigkeit in Bezug auf diesen Menschen. Möglicherweise dient das dazu, deine Stärke zu erkennen und dass du dein Potential entfalten kannst, deine Kraft, dein Wachstum! Alles, was geschieht, hat einen Grund und wirkt vielleicht zunächst nur wie ein Zufall. Wahrscheinlich ist, dass du diesem Menschen in die Augen blickst und erkennst, wie wichtig und bereichernd er für dich und all deine Erfahrungen ist. Ich darf das in meinem Leben immer wieder erleben und bin diesen Menschen zutiefst dankbar!

This is the yogashala @swaswarawellbeing a wonderful resort on the Konkan coast, located on top of a hillock overlooking Om Beach, SwaSwara” in Kannada means “my own rhythm” and is perfect place to practice yoga and go inwards. They also had some amazing Ayurvedic treatments.

Amazing Asia Adventures Day 129 (20.01.20) 🚌 Travel Day to Gili Air 🚤 ... although it’s almost wrong to call it a „travelday“. The boat ride took about 20 minutes and I had a lot of time to get a first impression of the island. 🏝
Well, as usual, I came here unprepared and didn’t have any real expectations. But I somehow feared that it might be crowded. Luckily, that isn’t the case, at least at the moment.
I like the place I am staying at ... I have my own tiny house with a hammock on the terrace, which is really nice. When I went for a walk at the beach, there were almost no other people, the beach bars empty.
There are people on this island, of course, but they mostly gather in the area around the harbour and are not too many. Just enough to spend some time in a laid back atmosphere.
The guy at the reception at my place told me, that since the earthquake in this area 2018, tourism decreased.
After my walk and some time in my hammock, I took a yoga class at a studio nearby (directly ran into two women who I‘ve met at my last reatreat - small yoga world) and enjoyed the sunset and a delicious tuna burger at the beach 🌅 .

For some reason, I always wanted to be the BEST at just one thing at a time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which is fine if you are competing…. however the more I study movement, the more I have drifted from the all or none approach into the all movement is medicine approach.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now my movement looks a lot more like weight lifting most days, yoga a few times a week, and going on walks outside. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

13 years ago my dad told me to come with him to his hot yoga class. I think the only reason I kept going was a mix of loving that time with him and loving yoga. Because, honestly, you need way more than one reason to do yoga in 105° and 40% humidity on purpose. I’ve never stopped practicing yoga since. My Sunday morning hot yoga class today happened to fall on the exact day, and during the exact time in the morning that my dad died 11 years ago. BTW if you need to cry a lot during yoga go to a hot class and no one will tell the difference between your ugly cry and your red ass face dripping in sweat. The universe…him…whatever it is…was present. If you have a great yoga teacher they will encourage you to set an intention for class and introduce a specific topic when class is getting started and during savasana at the end. It can be anything…gratitude, purpose, etc. Today TODAY she started talking about loss. Jesus. Literally. I couldn’t believe my red hot ears. She asked us to think about how we can grow from loss and what kind of new beginnings it creates. My dad gave me two lives. He gave me life, raised me, instilled morals, supported me. He left very abruptly, zero notice. I had nothing, didn’t know which direction to go, didn’t know how to not depend on him. Losing him gave me my second life. Forced to grow. I couldn’t really see that during that growth, but now, looking at the last decade after that loss, it is truly and entirely a different life after the loss of him. There’s the Jessie with my dad and the Jessie that was born after him. I’m still stuck in the two stages of grief - anger and acceptance. Not a day has passed that I don’t feel him or get my signs but also not a day goes by that I’m not pissed he’s not part of all of this. My babies, life, hard times, when I need advice, to help me write all my professional fuck you letters, yoga, his relationship with Alex, travel, Cole, my mom, etc. It’s a constant WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU NOT HERE. What will come first when I see him next? A hug or a punch? Maybe both at the same time. Anyway, I love you dad. Today’s yoga class was hard AF and so is not having you here.
