SI VAS A HACER ALGO, NO TE QUEDES A MEDIAS.

I had an awesome weekend so far, another fruitful trip to Gunung Pulai (first time bashing through the storm) probably one of the rare women out there who love mud, doesn’t mind getting soaked to the skin and just enjoying “showering”in the rain.. you run better when you run with stronger runners- for sure, these guys pushed me to run, power hiked hard. All is good - taking a short break from Gunung Pulai for at least a month but I’ll be back in late October for sure.. #plantbasedrunner#ultrarunning#trailrunning#running#nofilter
It’s been a great few weeks filled with so much running! From 1st place at the Wingello Trail Fest 7km to a new pb at Rouse Hill Parkrun. As well as exploring new trails along the Hawksbury river .
You win some, you learn some 🤷🏼♂️
I had big numbers in mind for Friday, the biggest yet. Still coasting on the success of a previous 50k day that flowed so well, and having hit my 13 Peaks training goal over a month early, I cockily posted the route the night before 🗺️
Began with a Friday Trailzzz cruise along the Pipe Track. We climbed Corridor Ravine, then headed back along the 12 Apostles Path, making a brief stop at Tranquility Cracks where I nearly sent @graeme0811 plunging into a 6 meter drop. Trail tip: don’t pull a selfie stick when the wrist strap is still attached. Back down Kasteelspoort and to the cars. Coffee, pack change, Red Bull, and high-fives goodbye 🖐🏽
I tagged Lions Head, saw local legend @coolhand_powers and a gigantic pair of eagles. Not even the skollie Table Mountain crows were messing with them (Luke or the Eagles) 🦅
. Headed along to Signal Hill. All good so far. Back along Pat’s Track 〰️
Climbing Kloof Corner stairs I could feel the bottom falling out. I panicked a bit. I’d kept the nutrition and hydration right. I hadn’t pushed too much. This was 30km in. I was after a 60km finish. @clairemay_2003 sent me a picture of beer tasting at Darling Brew. I wished I was there 😭
Never mind, just harden up and slog along the Contour Path. It just got worse. I reached the Devil’s Peak trail head, and two scenarios played out in my head - an easy exit via Tafelberg Road back to the car at Lions Head, or who-knows-how-many more hours of exhaustion and misery 😓
Guess which I chose?

It is Spartan race ,today.
I entry beast category.
Mountain course is so hard.I somehow finished🤣
But I enjoyed !!!
Low quality photo-high quality experience. Tonight was a game changer mentally. It’s been 2 years since I’ve visited the pain cave on a major level, and never have I grasped how to handle it with an iron mentality. Two years ago, when I ran my second marathon, the wall of pain in my legs hit at mile 21. I proceeded to walk the next 4 miles, thinking the whole time about how much it hurt and how frustrating it was that I couldn’t run through it-I let the physical pain overcome the opportunity to build resilience. Tonight we planned on doing 17ish miles: after 8 miles with digestive issues and nearly throwing in the towel, followed by trail closures that inhibited us from our original plan, we practiced some flexibility-I hit the restroom and we found a new trail. The pain started to hit around mile 14, and for the first time I decided to ignore it... entirely. It was strange-I just let it happen. My head was clear, I just didn’t allow myself to get caught up in the distress. It wasn’t worth it. Whether we had a half mile to go or 30 miles to go, it was going to hurt either way, so you’ve just got to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Ended up doing 20.5, and coming away with a stark realization: oftentimes when we approach resistance in life, a boulder in the road, we allow ourselves to get caught up in the moment and overwhelmed by the obstacle. Sometimes all it takes is realizing that we’re holding a magnifying glass up to a pebble, and all we need to do is step back and gain some perspective. Keep your head clear and focus on what matters. No excuses. No pain. Just one step at a time towards the goal. God is good. Thanks @scottstellarsneller for the push! @courtneydauwalter if you’re ever looking for running pals we’re not a bad option 🤣😎
Repost 📸: @oddedoy (@get_regrann) - Super hikingtur over flotte Innerdalsfjell. 😀⛰
Men utsikten bare formidabel.
.... And then there was some cool forest trails. Yup, I was made for this! ❤️🏃♀️🌳 What were you made for?! Today we found some treasured forest trail in the city and we got to run up and down stairs, along boardwalk, and alongside the stream. We might have gone off the trail a wee bit too just to explore and find a bit more wild.
What a day at Sri Chinmoy Trail 100km. I came into this race with minimal training and being sick for weeks, only just clearing up in time. Had no expectations on myself and ran within myself. I embrace the day and practiced what the Sri Chinmoy marathon team represents. The miles ticked over and I had very few thoughts during the day. Was strong nutritionally with @hammernutritionaus Hammer gel and fizz all day plus fruit, soft drinks and biscuits. Couldn't have done this without the wonderful support of @thesilverpuff. Peace, love, support and comraderie was the vibe of the day. The time of 13:11, coming 3rd and finishing before it got too cold was an absolute bonus.
